This event takes place at Alexandra Park, Pietermaritzburg every year. Fourwinds is within easy access of the park for both exhibitors and visitors alike. Apparently there some 1000 exhibits ranging from a 1904 Cadillac, to the very latest. See classic MGs, Triumphs, Alfas, Jaguars and Ferraris, classic and vintage motorcycles and a unique Stanley Steamer.
The Comrades Marathon -

The annual event that attracts thousands starts in 2011 outside Pietermaritzburg City Hall @ 5h30am and finish at Sahara Stadium, Kingsmead in Durban. The distance for 2011 is 89km.
FOURWINDS provides a lift to the starting point for people running so that their seconds can stay in bed to watch the start and have a leisurely breakfast before heading to Durban to pick them up.
The Royal Show -

This is the biggest annual event of KwaZulu Natal and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. The show has hundreds of craft and home industry exhibitions and stalls as well as competitions for birds, livestock and agricultural produce. "The Royal" has 13 exhibition halls and 350 trade stands, and TONS of entertainment: from concerts, firework displays, vintage tractor displays and show-jumping to keep you busy for days.
FOURWINDS is an ideal exhibitor’s escape from the noise, city heat and crowds while being only 15 minutes up the hill.

Event Details: Parklane Superspar & The Weekend Witness present a CONCERT IN THE PARK and JAZZ FESTIVAL at The Botanical Gardens, Mayors Walk, Pietermaritzburg on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June 2010. As an added bonus a TWO-DAY-PASS which allow patrons to attend both the Jazz Festival and Concert in the Park are on offer in 2011.
FOURWINDS supplies patrons of the concert and festival with a packed picnic lunch, chairs and blankets to attend the event.

The annual Aloe festival takes place at Creighton (a small village south of Ixopo). This includes steam train excursions into the river valley with stops for photo opportunities of both the train and the aloes. Also there are also vintage cars and tractors, model aircraft, food, stalls etc etc.
Creighton is an hour away from FOURWINDS and very much warmer, especially in July!!
