House Rules

Effective Date: September 2025

The following House Rules apply to all guests and visitors at Hilton Accommodation, 8 Hilton College Rd, Hilton, South Africa. By booking a stay, you agree to comply with these rules. Failure to comply may result in termination of your stay without refund.

1. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in time: from 14:00 (unless otherwise arranged in writing).

  • Check-out time: by 10:00 (unless otherwise arranged).

  • Late check-outs may incur an additional fee.

2. Quiet Hours

  • Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00.

  • Guests must avoid loud music, shouting, or disruptive behaviour during this time.

  • Failure to comply may result in removal from the property.

3. Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all accommodation units.

  • Designated outdoor smoking areas are provided.

  • A penalty cleaning fee may be charged if smoking occurs indoors.

4. Visitors

  • Only registered guests may stay overnight.

  • Visitors are permitted only with prior approval from management.

  • Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors.

5. Children and Safety

  • Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

  • Hilton Accommodation is not liable for injuries to unsupervised minors.

  • Parents and guardians assume full responsibility for the safety of their children.

6. Pets

  • Pets are not permitted unless prior written approval has been granted.

  • Approved pets must be supervised and controlled at all times.

  • Guests are responsible for any damage or disturbance caused by pets.

7. Property Care and Damages

  • Guests must take reasonable care of the property, furnishings, appliances, and equipment.

  • Any breakages, damages, or losses must be reported immediately to management.

  • Guests are financially liable for repair or replacement costs.

  • Removal of property (including towels, bedding, kitchen items, or furniture) is prohibited and will be charged accordingly.

8. Use of Facilities

  • Facilities such as braai/BBQ areas, kitchens, and outdoor spaces are provided for guest use at their own risk.

  • Guests must leave these areas clean and tidy after use.

  • Hilton Accommodation is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages arising from use of facilities.

9. Parking

  • On-site parking is available for registered guests.

  • Vehicles are parked at the owner’s own risk. Hilton Accommodation accepts no responsibility for theft or damage.

10. Waste and Recycling

  • Guests must dispose of rubbish in the designated bins provided.

  • Recycling facilities should be used where available.

  • Littering or improper disposal may incur penalties.

11. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Illegal activities, including possession or use of illegal substances.

  • Excessive noise or disruptive parties.

  • Tampering with safety equipment, fire alarms, or electrical systems.

  • Use of open flames or hazardous equipment not provided by Hilton Accommodation.

12. Liability

  • Guests use the accommodation, property, and facilities entirely at their own risk.

  • Hilton Accommodation, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not responsible for injury, illness, theft, loss, or damage sustained during the stay.

  • Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain adequate travel and medical insurance.

13. Breach of Rules

  • Failure to comply with these House Rules may result in immediate termination of the stay, eviction from the property, and forfeiture of any payments made.

  • Hilton Accommodation reserves the right to charge additional cleaning fees, damages, or costs incurred due to breaches of these rules.

14. Governing Law

These House Rules are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
